First year Anniversary cum Earth Day 2025 and Vesak Day special program

Updated: Apr 25

It’s been an amazing year in 2024/25 since we launched this outdoor nature-based health and wellness holistic coaching brand.  We had been supporting teams, individuals, schools and NGOs on tailored nature immersion programs. For the annual plan 2025/26, we are so excited that Bodhi Forest Global is committed to advancing the field to be on the leading edge of establishing the practice of Nature as Medicine, to be the first certified Nature as Medicine Practitioner for the licensed healthcare professionals based in Hong Kong from the CME accredited program by Nature and Systems Institute under the mentorship of Prof Dr. Susan Abookire of Harvard Medical School and ANFT instructor Ronna Schneberger who are also Evelyn's mentors in the ANFT Arnica cohort for healthcare professionals, engaging in evidence based research with Collective for Nature Immersion Science and Practice (cNISP) of Colorado State University, developing a strategic plan for incorporating Nature as Medicine into clinical practice and retreats programs for healthcare professionals and other communities.

To celebrate this milestone, we have also launched ocean based program to echo the theme of “Our Power, Our Planet,” on Earth Day on 22 April 2025.  We will have nature immersion sessions to go beyond forests to explore the ocean, with its coverage of 71% of the Earth's surface and contains 97% of the Earth's water, it has an incredible source of renewable off-shore wind and ocean energy, and its power to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions and stabilizing the Earth’s climate. 50% of O2 we need are from the ocean, which in turn helps absorbing 25% of all CO2 emissions through seagrasses and mangroves and captures 90% of the excess heat generated by these emissions. The sun, wind and sea waves are all source of renewable energy that emit little to no greenhouse gasses or pollutants into the air.  Coral reefs that covering less than 0.1% of the world’s ocean, can support over 25% of marine biodiversity and serve us with coastal protection and sources of medicine. Today marine protected areas (MPA) only cover 6.35% of the ocean and 30% of global waters to be designated as MPA by 2030, which is critical for protecting corals reefs and mangroves from rampant development, unregulated fishing practices, pollution and maintaining the ocean’s climate change resilience.   The calcium carbonate of coral reefs through calcification processes is also contributing to the formation of white sands beach when the coral fragments and sand-sized particles derived from the coral skeletons accumulate on nearby shores, creating such a paradisiacal destinations cherished by travelers worldwide..

To also celebrate the 20th United Nations Day of Vesak on 12 May 2025 under the theme “Unity and Inclusivity for Human Dignity: Buddhist Insights for World Peace and Sustainable Development,” Evelyn HO is honored to support the governments' Strive and Rise Programme (Third Cohort) in 2025/26 as a mentor for two underprivileged youths of minority, helping them to expand their horizon in an inclusive environment and to unleash their potential to develop a positive outlook on their life, to set goals and personal development plan for their future and building a peaceful world together. Besides being a mentor herself, Evelyn will provide the guided tour for Strive and Rise Programme for 50 mentors and mentees at the Tsz Shan Monastery and Buddhist Art Museum on 10 May 2025, aimed to let the participants to understand the Buddhist history, architecture, and art, and gaining insights into the wisdom of life in Buddhism.
