Hinoki Sekka (No.HS20101)

Hinoki Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtuse) is native to Japan, a slow growing tree with dark red-brown peeling bark and deep green needles, and it grows up to 35m tall, producing a beautiful golden coloured wood with a slightly smoky citrusy smell. Since the 8th Century it has been used to make Buddha statues and to build shrines. Historically, during the Edo period (1603 - 1867), the Hinoki was one of Five Sacred Trees of Kiso that were only allowed to be cut down to build houses and temples for the most powerful families.

A Hinoki Sekka bonsai is a unique, dense dwarf Hinoki Cypress that releases phytoncides, which are natural compounds that provide health benefits to humans, such as stress reduction, immune system boost, mood improvement, and air purification.

Due to the nature of live material and the variables involved in aftercare, we do not accept returns on live plants and bonsai trees once they are delivered.

We are only able to deliver in Hong Kong for self pick-up at MTR station (Hong Kong Station).
